Hardworking people in these areas need this support to continue to live and raise their families in these beautiful areas, to maintain their businesses and to carry on contributing to their local, and the national, economies. They contribute through their taxes to flood defense schemes and should benefit from them.

Pickering has shown things can be done very cheaply for flood defences. Revisit and install the flood scheme

Since the Boxing Day floods, whilst the people and businesses of this valley have picked themselves up and started to rebuild the government and environmental agency have done absolutely nothing to prevent further flooding

Because the places where I grew up are getting washed away by political inaction and total lack of concern.

So there are conditions attached before flood defences can be fully sanctioned? Disgraceful and disgraceful of this government to allow this. Sanction the works and get these people the help they so desperately need now!
