There are about 60,000 students in KNUST. About 80% of these students reside off-campus. 

The recent increase in attacks on the lives of students is worrying and demands corrective action to reduce the incidence. These attacks occur in the dark because most of these areas lack lighting systems (street lights). 

If we are able to light up off-campus, we can be able to reduce the occurrence of these attacks drastically.
