Mr. Jason Vicks is attempting to have his property rezoned so that the property can potentially accommodate over five times the number of dwelling units than what the existing zoning presently allows (zone change from "R-15P" to "MF").
The result of such a zoning change would materially alter the local area for the worse with substantial increases in noise, traffic, persons, as well as many other items, while reducing property values for existing area homes.
Development is expected and is for the most part, good - and no signatory to this petition stands against Mr. Vicks' right to develop his land under its existing zoning. In this instance, however, materially changing the SCOPE of potential development is unacceptable.
