Melksham A350 bypass

The A350 is a primary route south from the M4 to Poole. It carries a huge amount of heavy traffic both north and south and passes through many towns and villages. Part of its route is through Melksham and the road cannot support such heavy traffic volumes. There is significant congestion and it forces traffic through neighbouring roads and villages. We would like to see money provided from central government to build a bypass around Melksham and the village of Beanacre to reduce congestion, improve air quality and speed up the flow of traffic along this primary route.
Wiltshire council has a plan in place but this cannot be actioned without central funding to support it.
We would like to see the government respond to this petition by providing the funding to support this project in the next 3 years.
