Hi All

Thanks to everyone who has supported the upgrade by signing the petition and commenting.

Jenny McGowan's story of recovery and resilience after being hit by a car while riding her bike on the highway at Faulconbridge (as a direct result of there being no safe shoulder for her to ride) featured in the BM Gazette last year. Her story, and that also of Andrew Fuge, another cyclist injured at the same location, reminds us we are not talking about hypothetical harm and injury. It is real! It has happened and will happen again until the GWH at Faulconbridge has safe legally compliant shoulders for cyclists and other vulnerable road users to remain out of harms way. You can help make it happen by telling the pollies it's time to fund RMS' plan for a widened road, 2.5 metre shoulders on both sides of the carriageway and treatments to manage vehicles turning right into the Metro Petroleum from the east bound 80km ph fast lane.
