Last year, at the urging of citizens of Medina County, The Medina County Fair prohibited vendors from selling and displaying any merchandise featuring the confederate flag, and it is a shame to see they did not include it in the vendor contracts this year. This should be a permanent term for vendors at the fair to make it an inclusive event for everyone who wishes to attend.

We believe the confederate flag has no place at an event celebrating our county’s rich agricultural heritage, and we urge The Fair Board to permanently ban the sale and display of the confederate flag by vendors at The Medina County Fair.
