Petition Closed

The healing effects of Medicinal Marijuana have been known to Physicians and Healers for Centuries. Approved Convential therapies aimed at treating debilitating medical conditions (ie: Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn's Disease, Chronic Pain, etc...) are of little or no help to a lot of patients that reside in Indiana.
In January of 2012, House Bill No. 1370 (HB 1370) was Introduced to the Indiana General Assembly. This bill introduced measures requiring that The Executive Board of the State Department of Health adopt rules to Regulate the Dispensation of Medicinal Cannabis and to Exempt Medicinal Marijuana Coldholders and Licensed Dispensaries from Criminal Laws.
Approximately one third of the U.S. population now resides in a State that has decided to act in favor of their citizens' will and allow Physicians to treat the chronicaly ill with Marijuana -- That is 17 out of 50 States!!
When asked "What comes to mind when you think about Indiana", many people responded with words such as "Antiquated", "Archaic", "Backwards", "Out-of-Touch", etc ad nauseum...
It is time for Indiana to let go of its Draconian laws reguarding this matter.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: The Indiana General Assembly

Introduce legislation for the Compassionate Use of Medicinal Marijuana

The healing effects of Medicinal Marijuana have been known to Physicians and Healers for Centuries. Approved Convential therapies aimed at treating debilitating medical conditions (ie: Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn's Disease, Chronic Pain, etc...) are of little or no help to a lot of patients that reside in Indiana.

I Support the Legalization of Medicinal Marijuana in Indiana.

Sincerely,
