David Windsome started this petition to Montgomery County, Maryland board of education Montgomery County BOE

As you may know, racism has been declared a public health crisis. In 2020, after so much progress, many people are still suffering from racism. As we all know, racism can affect us all. Meanwhile, our public school system is circulating books that promote and condone discrimination and racism. Robin DiAngelo’s, “White Fragility,” has passages like, “White people raised in Western society are conditioned into a white supremacist worldview...” Ibram Kendi’s, “How to be an antiracist,” has passages like, “If the discrimination is creating equity, then it is antiracist. If discrimination is creating inequity, then it is racist..... The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination.”

These are the books being recommended for our children to read by our school system. Do those sound like books that fight racism, or perpetuate it? Join me in fighting against the poisonous material in these books. As you’ve heard, never judge a book by it’s cover. These books are not what they seem. Join me; save our children.
