Students should not be told that they need to get a certain percentage in their homework. ixl may be a useful source but it is teaching kids that for them to learn and feel good that they have to get a certain percent. and may be beneficial to other students but many students struggle and get frustrated when the make one little mistakes. instead of assigning 5 ixls every week and making students lose free time because of homework try and give one sheet of homework or give them 1-2 ixl, and give them 5-10 problems and not 40 to get them to a 80%. kids are more likely to do a work sheet than 40 problems x 5. it will help student and not make them as stressed. a 12 year old shouldn’t be stressing homework yet. please sign this so we can get this problem recognized.
