The only way to affect real change in a country is unfortunately to get the ordinary people out on the streets. It is when they are personally affected that change happens. McDonalds employs around 60 000 "ordinary people" and has kept them on payroll despite them not having to go into work. That is a treat, not a sanction. 86.6% of Ordinary Russians don't only support the war against Ukraine, but the idea that other countries should be targeted. That is 51,600 of those McDonald's workers being treated to pay without work.

Pay particular attention to the last paragraph in the survey link which explains how the survey was conducted. This is bound to be uncomfortable for those who blame only Putin but it is what it is. The idea that people are being treated to continued pay without work for a war their country started  is simply ridiculous, cynical and morally reprehensible. Sack them all now, with no pay.
