Hi my name is Jacob, I am 12 years old and I have been learning about how plastic is very bad for the environment as it uses fossil fuels to make it that pollute our planet. As McDonald  toys are very hard to recycle and end up in the ocean, sea  creatures eat it and it kills them. Even though people say it will finally disintegrate, it doesn't, it just gets smaller and smaller, so small that you need to use a microscope to sea it. this could be bad for us humans as the small particle like plastic gets into fish, the plastic is not visible, this means we are basically eating plastic when we eat fish. Also plastic gets into the air that we breath in, it is not yet discovered what harm it does to humans when we breath it.

In 2012 there was a survey carried out that shows that McDonalds give away around 3.2 million plastic toys world wide a day in there happy meals which sums up to 1.2 billion a year!!! Burger king have stopped selling plastic toys so what's McDonalds excuse?
