This is how my teenage son's get paid too and I agree they should not have to encounter all of these fees. I think these companies target teens and young adults who may just be learning how to manage their money and are likely to make these costly mistakes in the process. Aeropostale is another company that uses these cards

I work for a company that also uses pay cards... It seems like the government would require corporations to provide an alternative to the cards (we are able to apply for direct deposit to avoid the fees). These huge banks are taking money away from minimum wage workers trying to live off of their already low paychecks in order to overpay their CEOs. It's disgusting.

My family is poor, and one day a year ago my mom sat me down and told me I would have to pay for my college, because they didn't have enough money to help me. What about every other teenager like me who needs the money when prices for EVERYTHING are going up?

It's always important to recognize when greed rears it's ugly head. I've never heard of the concept of paying any one in anything but hard earned cash. I find it hard to believe this never wound up in a small claims court by the first person this was tried on. I'm glad they were stopped. We can't let these forms of oppression find a place in America.
