McDonald's, you have taken the greatest drink in the whole world, no, the entire Universe OFF THE MENU!!
It can't be true, Maccas.
Salted Caramel Frappes are too good, too important, too special, too extremely delicious to be taken away from us forever!
What about all those baby caramel frappes that will never be born? Did you think of the children?
And what about the young adult, who could have become a Nobel peace prize winner, had they been happy enough drinking their delicious caramel frappe which INSPIRED them to find a solution to World Peace. Don't you want World Peace???
Even kittens will be sad! Do you want to see sad kittens? I couldn't even post images of that, this world is not ready for little sad kitties who just want cuddles and a Salted Caramel Frappe.
Taylor Swift is going to release a new version of her song - this one called "Look What You Made Me Drink". The video will be of her just sadly singing to her cup of plain milk.
Look at the horrors of a world without Caramel Frappes. How can you do this?
On a personal note, here is why I care so much.
I have this stupid pelvis, it is "unstable" meaning that it twists and moves in wrong ways, and breaks too easily and will never heal. I spend a LOT of time on bedrest. Too much, it drives me batty some days. I have to use a walking stick to get around, and a wheelchair for family outings and shopping. I have a beautiful 9 year old boy with autism, and I spend a lot of time worrying about him, and researching ways to help him. Apart from all that, I do kinda love my life . My husband is amazing, and I have two gorgeous kids, all my dreams came true!
However, I do struggle with anxiety and depression a lot.
In the last year, I have found a lovely way to get through the most painful and difficult days. After dinner I treat myself to a yummy caramel frappe. It's not much, but it gives me something to look forward to during the day. It's a wonderful way to wind down, and it's totally fricking delicious. Like, the most heavenly, delectable, exquisite drink in the world. I have never in my life enjoyed a drink so much. Every evening when I take my first sip I get a rush of bliss. Pure joy. I'm a frappe junkie.
For a time I felt rather guilty spending money on a frappe almost every day. We are on a very tight budget - I'm on the disability pension, so we don't have much to fritter away on something as unimportant as a drink.
I see a psychologist to help with my anxiety etc. I explained to him how guilty I feel about spending money on a luxury. Do you know what he said? He told me unequivocally to buy myself a caramel frappe as often as I like. I gaped at him while he assured me that treating myself to something that I thoroughly enjoy and get so much pleasure from is extremely important for me. He asked me if I wanted him to put that in writing.
Well of course you may be wondering why I just don't have something else. But I just don't particularly enjoy many other drinks. I've tried the other flavours and I didn't like them. I've tried other caramel drinks from other places and I wasn't really taken with any of them.
It is only your caramel frappe that I enjoyed.
It was my delicious treat that I looked forward to all day. My friends and family often laughed at me and my caramel frappe addiction, but the joke was on them, because I found a chalice full of joy that I could indulge in on a regular basis. Their beer and wine had nothing on my frappes!!
I really hope you will reconsider, and bring them back. Feel free to use my passion on this product to remarket it. "The invalid who begged McDonald's for her caramel frappes" Haha - Ok, that's taking it too far, I'm sorry. In any case... I know there will be a lot of people overjoyed on their return.
