McDonald's was one of the first western companies to enter Russian market in 1990, following collapse of the Iron Curtain. It represented a wind of change for Russia, and is considered as start of integration of Russia into the world economy.

On February 24, 2022, Russian Federation started war with Ukraine. Innocent people are dying due to atrocities committed by Russian army. 

Western governments are imposing sanctions against Russian economy. Putin and his enablers/executioners will be held accountable for the war crimes they are committing.

Every private and public company has a duty and moral responsibility to stop supporting Russian economy. 

McDonald's must close all restaurants in Russia. This closure will be a symbolic "full circle" end of Russian participation in the world economy until Putin's regime ends, and people of Russia choose to rejoin the world as a peaceful democratic nation.
