Brian's House was set up to be a place where the living go to die, in comfort and surrounded by their loved ones. The Straub's began Brian's House in 1996 as fulfillment of their son's dying wish: To create a home in Bay City for the terminally ill who had no where else to go. Brian Straub, an aspiring actor, died of AIDS at his parent's home in 1991 at the age of 32. Straub was a 1977 graduate of Bay City Western High School.
