Yuma is one of the hottest and sunniest  locations in the US, and as such finding activities to do in the heat outside is incredibly difficult. 
Currently the MCAS YUMA housing pool doesn’t open until May (on weekends ONLY) and then from June daily until Labor Day. The time it’s open is also ridiculous for the weather being 11am-7pm with NO SHADE over the pool which poses a health and safety risk especially during the hottest parts of the day. 

This petition is to change the hours from 8am-7pm (or at least a split time of 8-11am and 3-7pm ) to add a shade over at least half the pool, and to have the pool open from start of March until end of September.
