We the undersigned golf members feel that all members of Mirasol Country Club should have a choice of riding alone or sharing a golf cart. The Board indicated they are planning to mandate sharing of carts effective October 1, 2021.

We understand there is concern about the affect that single cart usage has had on maintaining the courses. Before the pandemic there were any number of reasons why members might chose to drive alone, individual might be a little ill, avoiding driving with smokers, playing limited number of holes, etc.

We recommend the Board encourage sharing of carts but do not mandate sharing. We feel the members will be responsible in helping achieve the goal of limiting single carts and we will be avoiding placing an unwarranted burden on the golf staff to enforce a mandate.
