The earth is currently responding to anthropogenic climate change, also known as the climate crisis. Florida is at the forefront of this crisis and experiencing things like sunny day flooding, sea level rise, temperature increase, and detrimental hurricane seasons. It is estimated that we have less than eight years to decrease the climate crisis impact, but we must respond now. We must act now. We can not wait. That is why we are petitioning to declare climate emergency in Fort Lauderdale.
