The Mayor has spent so much money fighting in courts against the firefighters and the very city he claims to love so much. In reality, he is pushing our hard working underpaid firemen to look elsewhere for jobs to support their families which means less man power working the streets. Our firemen are dedicated to protecting and serving the city of Houston and should be paid and respected as such, but unfortunately Mayor Turner does not share that same feeling with the firemen or the CoH Voters when they approved PROP B. That says how he really feels about the CoH residents and what they have to say!!!

Understand it took a long time in the US for public employees to collectively bargain & negotiate, but the courts determined the CONSTITUTIONAL protection. CoH needs to STOP wasting time & $ challenging & dividing Firefighters & our 1st Responders. Figure this out. Pay equity & fairness matter.

Our firefighters are real life heroes and should be treated as such. Houston's mayor has mistreated them long enough!

I have nephews who are firefighters and policemen. They should be paid equitably.

The first responders save lives and property every day! They deserve to be respected for their selfless acts of bravery. If it was your house that was burning and your family trapped inside you would be praising these brave people for doing their very best to save those you hold dear. Even though you have tried to break their spirit and insulted them by not paying them a decent wage based on other cities rates, they would still do their very best to save your family and your home. Shame on you!

Binding arbitration is a good alternative to prolonged impasse which only harms all parties.
