From 1980 through 1990, there was a recreational facility known as Prudomme's Landing that was located just off of the North Service Road in Vineland Station, Ontario. One of the attractions there was a water park known as Wet N' Wild, which featured two large water slides, a wave pool and a lazy river. The park was suddenly closed down in 2002, which ensured that all of the people in Vineland, as well as the surrounding areas, such as St. Catharines would have to go all the way to the ones in either Niagara Falls or Vaughan.
