This hotel will cause serious traffic problems, disastrous parking issues for our neighborhood, it will jeopardize the safety of our children and our privacy and as a result it will have a very negative impact on our quality of life and the value of our property.
San Jose District 8 councilwoman Sylvia Arenas stated clearly that the Evergreen initiative threatens every neighborhood because the developers have written their own rules.
Indeed now we are witnessing the same in District 1. The hotel on the corner of Via Vico will be followed by the hotel on Bark Lane!
The project started in secrecy and was designed to serve only the developer, it violates present city codes, and zoning and totally disregards our interest, the San Jose citizens living in the Miller neighborhood. 122 homeowners came to a meeting with Councimember Chappie Jones to protest the project, only to be totally ignored.
Mayor Liccardo, Councilmember Chappie Jones and SJ council members PLEASE STAND FOR OUR RIGHTS. STOP THIS PROJECT. It is us you are supposed to represent!
