Rent Control in North Carolina
As a working community in mecklenburg county. Working single folks and folks with families have found themselves homeless or either living with other family members because the Rent starting to increase year after year. And The income remains the same without not meeting the income requirements to remain at a steady and reliable safe place to live. So people are forced to move. The Goal is to have some sort of Rent control in this county. I have been living in my apartment for over 5 years I now pay 1200 a month when will the rent increase stop. At what point can ones rent stop increasing. After how many years and what the max? I’m asking for all single people that works hard a living in a safe place and your income is unmatched to today’s cost of living, please help me get this out. We need rent control in mecklenburg . Rent should not be going up year after year. Especially living at the same place for 5-7 years
