Our children should have access to public parks, and it is up to our local government to provide such serene beauty .

I'm signing in support because this issue and issues like it are cropping up with alarming and increasing frequency all over the US. Public lands, once given over to private interests, are gone forever. Please take one more minute to type "carnivalizing" into the search bar at the top of the page and sign our petition. We are fighting for public lands in Colorado Springs just as you doing here.

While I strongly support the cause of NewCAL, I ask that a solution be found which does not adversely impact the Newton Soccer program, which desperately needs all the fields it currently uses for practices and games.

I signed because my 8 year old grandson was near tears when he was told that the field he just played on under the lights was slated for development. And I promised him I would fight to keep it open space. A project of this side is better suited in a commercial area such as Wells Ave. Ms. Mayor, please leave our parks alone!

First the unaffordable ostentatious Austin St are built, now Northland is looking to take over the Clark building Marshall’s Mall with even more unaffordable rentals. And you want to bulldoze Newton heavily used parks for a Senior center paid for by the city’s operating budget and not a voter approved override?? Listen to us, the residents of this city, the people whom you are supposed to be serving. Keep our green spaces, either rebuild Senior Center at the existing site, or use a different building (former Clark building?!) , and fund this project with a debt exclusion override approved by voters and NOT the city’s operating budget.

Once park space is gone it never comes back. Same thing is happening in Denver.
