Repeal and Replace the 5 Hour parking bylaw by the Town of Halton Hills in Georgetown, Ont

I have been lucky enough to be born and raised in this beautiful town we all like to call home. With sky rocketing house prices (taxes), growing families, larger population and the inevitable growth that comes along with all of that, it is not unreasonable to think that there will be growing pains. One of these such “pains” in our surrounding suburban community is street parking, or the lack there of.

I am starting a petition to repeal and replace the 5 hour parking limit on our residential streets in Georgetown, Ontario. 5 hours, for most, is barely enough time to gather with friends by a BBQ or around the dinner table. Barely enough time for the Grandmas and Grandpas to visit with their grandchildren. Overnight guests, forget about it! I understand that in the winter the plows need to drive by so the winter bylaw is acceptable and understandable. But in the summer! C’mon!

Democracy is a wonderful thing! When we can lobby our very own ELECTED officials to bring about change that benefits the ENTIRE community Why not? It’s not much but it would help a little bit.

Cheers Everyone!

Thanks for the support!
