In these current, uncertain and turbulent times it has been extremely important to keep residents informed of activities within our community. The City has failed it's citizens in epic proportions by not using the tools of "social media" and allowing the development of a Facebook page but relying on an antiquated system to keep their residents informed.  We are respectfully requesting the Mayor and City Council to put aside their personal concerns regarding Facebook and approve the development of a page to allow real time notifications of important and serious events affecting our city and its residents.  Please join me and other residents by signing this petition and voicing our request to use social media as a means to keep residents informed.
