RESIDENTS MUST ACT NOW!!! DRUGS IN YOUR STREET!!!
Fresh Start - A high turnover, acute detox facility is to be established in a residentially zoned area, circa 100 meters from both Perth Modern High School and the new State High school.
Fresh Start were very recently evicted from Cambridge council area, due to the high impact on residents as an outcome of these exact services. That location only had 6 - 10 beds. Subiaco site is far larger in a higher density residential area, which will be to the significant detriment of local amenity and places local children in jeopardy. Revocation of this motion will receive broad public support and will ensure any future planning applications are assessed fairly, without bias.
Revocation of the elected members motion C11.3, passed on 23rd May 2017, providing for the continuance of the expired nonconforming use exemption at 16-20 York Street Subiaco.
- No community consultation took place in any guise, as required by the Town Planning Scheme and expected by ratepayers;
- No planning application or assessment; motion passed against the stated, informed and considered position of the head planning officer;
- Subsequent announcements of the new state high school and very close proximity of Perth Modern High school warrants this motion to be brought back to council for revocation.
