Artists need AFFORDABLE places to call home and communities like this support their creative visions in an authentic collaborative setting. Benefits everyone-including the surrounding community! Who doesn’t love art!

Art colonies in any city can be a constant source of creative energy. LA needs the colony. I hope the wealthy lovers of art step up and help with the purchase offer.

I've been to the open studios many times and have spoken with many of the artists that live there. The Santa Fe Art Colony is a vital part of LA's art community and it's essential it remains here.

We must cherish and protect our creative community in Los Angeles by supporting them in affordable housing. They are the heart of this City and their innovation makes it thrive artistically and economically.

A vibrant arts district brings in tourist dollars and enriches the lives of LA city residents. The City Council needs to keep its commitment to supporting artists by keeping the Santa Fe arts colony viable. Selling the Santa Fe Art Colony out from under the residents was a bad decision by the Council. Help right that wrong by supporting the SFAC Tenants Association in their efforts to acquire the property. An Arts District with no artists is bound to fail.
