A button to give Disabled People more time on pedestrian crossings.

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

The time given for green light of pedestrian crossings are based on average walking speed of ordinary people plus some addition for Disabled and slow walkers.

A seperate button to be pushed by disabled people and  slow walkers,  incorporated with the existing system,  can be set on a longer time.   On the other hand the normal pedestrian button can be set on a lower time for healthy people.   This will help the flow of traffic and give disabled people more security and independence.

I am a disabled person and see that my fellow disabled friends also suffer from having to exert themselves dangerously when using the pedestrian crossings.
