End Sexual Harassment In Schools

End Sexual Harassment In Schools
Three in five girls and young women across London say they’ve experienced sexual harassment at school or college, including sexual taunts and unwanted touching. We need urgent action to end this widespread and often hidden crime.
We believe that the punishment for child-on-child sexual violence in schools need to be properly enforced and become more strict as only 2% of secondary schools currently have a permanent exclusion for sexual harassment in schools.
Our belief is that all women and men deserve to feel comfortable and safe in schools. Not objectified and harassed. The culture of sexual harassment at schools today is so normalised that feeling safe and happy is far from the reality we live in now.
We’re calling on government officials and ministers with responsibility over education to:
>Make compulsory at least 1 hour/wk, high-quality Relationships and Sex education in all schools. Covering consent, gender equality, online abuse, and healthy and loving relationships
>Make compulsory all schools need to properly enforce rules and sanctions regarding sexual violence
>National Guidance to ensure all schools know to take a zero tolerance to sexual violence in schools
