The Historic Junior High and the Manual Training Building(on State Historical Society listing) 401 and 402 Roosevelt both are historically significant to the Eveleth, MN community.  Both are structural sound buildings. The school ( Noel Schmidt, superintendent) received several offers to redevelop both buildings, but did not work with any of them.  A few of these offers have the experience and finances to update and make buildings  a Historic community treasure. These offers also never made it to the Eveleth, MN City Council or Mayor.  These building would be redeveloped into a residential community of affordable housing and provide additional taxes to the community.  These are both scheduled for demolition soon. This petition is to help save these two buildings from being demolished and instead redevelop these historic buildings with partners.  These buildings hold memories from when it was used as a school as well as when it had Chicagami daycare center there and AEOA Head start.  Help us keep these memories and save these buildings to be redeveloped!!
