I was banished out of Midfield I ended up in small town no where, far from my HOME, to save my ass from the merciless destruction. The screw off money I received had to all go back into repairs as the electrical was blown, plumbing destroyed, etc etc and there was fencing, skirting and a million other things after the disasterous move my house had to undergo. I will NEVER forget being thrown out of my home town of 55 years nor will I forget how the seniors had their properties and dignities stripped from them for pennies on the dollar, in the middle of a housing crisis, without mercy or compassion all for greed and the love of money. Screw you city of Calgary gangsters that run city hall. I see this petition is now closed and the poor souls still left in Midfield are still prisoners kept in the iron fist of corruption and heartlessness. This will all come back to bite you in the end.

A promise was made and it should be kept or acceptable alternatives offered. Leaving these people with nothing is barbaric and absolutely NOT how a city should be run.

It's blatantly obvious the city is destroying this affordable inner city community so it can build higher density higher income housing so they can collect more tax money. The fact that the city is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure there and is using lack of maintenance to justify this robbery is disgusting. Going back on it's promise to provide a new location for these folks to go to is reprehensible. Their commitment to affordable housing is non-existent, in direct opposition to their "dedication" to developers who have free reign to do what they will for the sake of profit, existing communities be damned (i.e. how many golf courses in Calgary have been sold to them lately)? You are mercilessly kicking out vulnerable people and forcing them out of their community where they feel a sense of belonging and have services nearby that don't require a car. As someone who lives in the nearby community, I do not look forward to the loss of this community of wonderful people, only to be replaced by overpriced condos, exponentially increased traffic and probably higher taxes, even though the whole point of this is to get more upper income taxpayers in a smaller area. Infuriating on so many levels, heartless on so many more.

I strongly believe that the city of Calgary is wrong to ask these people that live in midfield trailer park to vacate and find location is for their home, Now why did the city of Calgary did not build another trailer court so they had a place to move them their homes. Like that they put any thought into the Seniors that live on pension and don't have that kind of money to do such things even the young residents there that are living day by day. I think they should put more thought into it and try and help these people out in a better way by not throwing their butts out.

No one deserves to lose their home through no fault of their own with no option. These are people who deserve to maintain their dignity.

My Mother is in a mobile home park that keeps raising lot fees, causing many residents to go without food and medicine in order to pay their lot fees. Disgusting.
