Mattatall Lake Residents of Cumberland County need a common, bear proof waste and recycling removal system, centrally located on French Rd. Currently waste is being picked up at individual residents homes. Most of the residents do not use this service as the supplier is inconsistent and the wildlife in the area is attracted to the garbage. 

The benefits of a central system is increased usage by local residents, therefore less dumping, burning and transferring of waste by individuals to other areas. In addition, less time and money for the county by reducing the number of stops required, as well as increased refundable credit to the county. Overall a better usage of residents property tax dollars and a safer environment for citizens and wildlife.
