Our sacred Algonquin Trail (located on unceded Algonquin Lands) in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada is being opened to fossil fuel pollution. A once safe, healthy place for #BIPOC to  commune with nature & spirit is no more. We are in a DEADLY climate crisis and Mayor Mike LeMay thinks it is fine to INCREASE fossil fuels. It just isn't.

Slowing GLOBAL HEATING and improving AIR QUALITY for everyone provides greater health benefits in our lifetime than previously thought by ACTUALLY preventing deaths and hospitalizations.

Exposing Pembroke citizens (including children) to hazardous exhaust containing dangerous levels of airborne toxins including nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, ozone, aldehydes, butadiene, benzenes, and extremely persistent polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons is an obvious ASSAULT on HEALTH.

Mayor Mike LeMay is trading our wellbeing for money and municipal politics.  We are worth MORE than his assessment.
