What was Mayor Bloomberg thinking to even for one moment contemplate allowing this race to go forward. Decisions regarding the city should be made with all of the inhabitants of that city in mind and not just a choice few. The first and primary concern should have been restoring power to those who did not have it, getting those displaced back in their homes and getting the city on its feet again. Anything else should have been put on the back burner. It was a clear choice.

As a former resident of Staten Island, I feel strongly that all of NYC's resources should be focused on helping all boroughs recover from Sandy; not just Manhattan.

people are important not the economy when the state of emergency is in effect. Citizens should be the priority not the economy at this point....take a look at queeens and staten island............people are in the streets[

I live in one of the ruined neighborhoods, Sea Gate. We were flooded and its about a week and I have no power. My neighborhood needs the services and I personally don't want to hear about the marathon in a time of need.

People are suffering too much in this city to accommodate the marathon now. It should be postponed to the spring allowing time for people to get their lives back together.
