Why this petition matters

Started by Rocco Pravettoni

Pleasant Hill is the only city in the area that doesn’t have a skatepark. Here are my reasons on why we need one. First of all, all throughout the city there there are signs that prohibit scootering and skateboarding. Enthusiasts like myself have not been considered in the city planning and are forced into parking lots and unsafe areas to enjoy this activity. I can name several perfect spots for a skatepark, starting with Rodger Smith park. There is a massive area In the outfield where a skatepark can be built. Another place is an open grass area In the Downtown Pleasant Hill park. Not only does building a skatepark help protect the safety of It’s citizens, it reduces the risk of damage to public property and brings people of all ages, genders and ethnicities to enjoy something they love together.
