Virginia Carstarphen started this petition to Mayor City of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and

Dine Out on Sheffield is part of a city wide pilot program which allows restaurants to expand seating onto a closed off street.  Thanks to the Lake View East Chamber of Commerce for organizing this event last weekend (July 31 to August 2) to include the restaurants on the 3200 block of Sheffield. The event featured 5 local independently owned and operated businesses: Trader Todd's, Sheffield's, Figo Wine Bar,  Cheesies and Barangaroos.   Because of this creative program we were able to serve a large number of customers at well spaced, sanitized, outdoor tables. This was the boost we needed!  Todd and I are committed to staying open and keeping our staff employed.  Happily we were even able to rehire a few more team members because of the increase in business. But we need your help to keep this going. We need the Dine Out  program to continue throughout August and September. So if you enjoyed Dine Out on Sheffield this past weekend, if you want to see local restaurants survive or if you just happen to like us, would you please sign our petition?   We want to celebrate 20 years in business next year and with your support and creative programs like Dine Out on Sheffield we can! Please let Alderman Tunney and Mayor Lightfoot know you'd like to see dining on the street continue for Trader Todd's, and our neighbors Sheffields, Figo Wine Bar,  Cheesies and Barangaroos weekends throughout the summer. Support local independent businesses. We need you!
