Mayor Lori Lightfoot is destroying Chicago and needs to resign immediately. She has proven herself to be incapable of governing and it is time for all of us who love Chicago to take our great city back.

In 2021 Chicago reached an all time high of 800 homicides, a level not seen in 25 years. Gangs are terrorizing people with armed car jackings, assaults, home invasions and theft of every kind. This is happening every day, at any time of day, in every neighborhood across the city. The riots that destroyed Michigan Ave continue on a smaller scale throughout the city, with gangs destroying businesses with brazen daytime "smash and grabs," where thousands of dollars worth of merchandise is stolen or destroyed. Capital has fled Chicago, with many institutional investors refusing to invest or build given the violence and instability. The continued political acrimony between the Mayor, Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Teacher's Union is destroying one of the core pillars of any community - its neighborhood schools - by refusing to negotiate in good faith to keep our children safe and in the classroom. It is clear our children, homes, businesses and communities are unsafe and the city is in a death spiral. EVERYONE is paying the price for her incompetence, arrogance, and inability to center the needs of the city over her own ego.

I have lived in Chicago over 20 years and I have never felt this unsafe. It is breaking my heart to see our beautiful city ravaged by such violence and dysfunction. 

We must take action NOW and demand the resignation of Mayor Lightfoot.
