Mayor London Breed: Sign the Emergency Hotel Ordinance Now

0 have signed. Let’s get to 2,500!

On Tuesday, April 14, all eleven members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted to pass an Emergency Ordinance for Safe Shelter. The Ordinance calls for the City to secure 8,250 private rooms by April 26, 2020, including 7000 rooms for homeless San Franciscans. This would allow the City to quickly meet the needs for thousands of homeless residents in our streets and shelters who currently have no way of sheltering-in-place.

Mayor London Breed has 10 days to sign the Emergency Hotel Ordinance. Although it cannot be vetoed by the mayor, she still has the authority to spend the money that would make it happen — which could effectively kill the bill.

When asked whether or not she would carry out the legislation on Wednesday, she was unsupportive.

Sign the petition to urge Mayor London Breed to support and sign the Hotel Ordinance today so that it can be implemented as soon as possible.
