Unley Council - please support the UPS Nature Playspace!

This petition had 142 supporters

  • Unley Primary School is looking for support from Council to redevelop the existing bitumen area next to the Kitchen Garden cricket nets.
  • The space is under-utilised by students as across the school we have an abundance of ‘flat play -space’ designed in the main for ball games.

  • The required budget to redevelop the area is $50,000 and this would enable it to be transformed into a model nature playspace with trees, bushes, nooks and the rest, with  an extended area for students to learn to grow food and plants. The Kitchen Garden and playground would be retained. The image above is a draft concept plan (north is to the left).
  • There would be a big benefit for the community as well as it would complement the work done by Council at Haslop Reserve (thank you, smashing job!) and serve as additional green space for the Unley community.
  • If you support the development of this space to extend students learning and provide additional green space for the community, then please support this petition and share it amongst the UPS and Unley communities!
  • Thank you, UPS Facilities Committee
