Every year so many animals are lost on the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve. Many are hit and killed by vehicles. This includes wildlife. They try to escape the debilitating “Booms” that fireworks make. There is a solution to stop so much trauma and devastation to our animals. There is an alternative SILENT FIREWORKS.

This is personal to me as I spoke with a local gentleman who’s dog escaped out of his home out of pure fright and terror. What’s sad is this beautiful  German Shepard had lived on the streets prior to being rescued by his owner. He was street smart. However, the fireworks scared the  dog  to the point that he would do anything to get away and hide. Animals become disoriented and panic. Unfortunately this story did not end well. He was fatally hit by a car on Gateway Blvd. This is only one of many many stories people have shared. We owe our animals so much more than this. So many animals have to be medicated just to get through the night. Many hide outdoors, to never be found again. Is it really worth it?

There is a small town in Italy that started using silent fireworks out of respect for animals. I say we do the same. Let’s be the CHANGE. I propose we give Silent Fireworks a try in Lee County in 2022. This can then trigger a world wide change but it has to start somewhere. Please be the voice for your animal. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT. PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE!
