Start a Community Garden in Sayreville, NJ

In order to encourage healthy eating the residents of Sayreville do request the starting of a community garden, perhaps in the areas of MacArthur and Weber Avenues where homes were taken down. This would be an excellent use of idle space not able to be inhabited in the form of residences, and would serve as a way to provide produce to the local food banks as well as any other resident. As I'm sure you're aware most food banks rely on donations of pantry goods depriving anyone needing their services of fresh produce necessary for proper health. Even for those not dependent on these facilities are well aware of the ease and popularity of quick convenience foods with little to no nutritional value. A community garden would be so beneficial in so many ways.
