Stop Roger Williams Park From Becoming A One Way Street

We are opposed to making a main access road in Roger Williams Park one-way.
The road from Park View Boulevard, turning right and proceeding to Montgomery Avenue is scheduled to be turned into a one-way road beginning June 1st. This will result in excessive traffic through the neighboring residential streets. This will now route traffic down a very steep hill, with zero traffic controls, and will become a wildly dangerous and unnecessary impediment to the safe and orderly flow of traffic at all hours of the day past Chester Barrows School, Lisi and Carberry baseball fields, Edgewood Eagles softball field and Park View Middle School as well as our neighborhood streets. Park Avenue is the only egress to routes 10 and 95 for thousands of local residents, the backup to Warwick Avenue is imminent and hazardous conditions will be exponentially increased for the many school students who also traverse this road.
This is not about convenience, but about safety. This will affect hundreds, if not thousands, of residents from both Providence and Cranston who either live on the streets that will now be through streets, or use this section of roadway to commute daily. This section of roadway is very busy and a one-way here will set up a dangerous traffic nightmare.
