While we are all privileged enough to be vacationing in Saltaire there is violence and strife happening on the streets of major cities all over the nation. Saltaire is a town full of people who claim to be inclusive and supportive of the black lives matter movement. 2020 seems to be shaping up to be an incredibly consequential year and it is important that we, as citizens of this broken nation, do our part in condemning the actions of the officers of the Minneapolis police department and all the other departments around the country currently instigating violence. I've created this petition because I'd like to hear the mayor speak out on this important issue at hand. It's on all of us to speak up when there is injustice this glaring. While we can't be on the ground showing solidarity right now we could at least show some support this way.
