Rosemarie Caruso started this petition to USDA and

Murder in Brick NJ all due to one complaint. A father Swan is trying to protect it's babies and one PERSON has convinced the USDA AND NJ FISH AND WILDLIFE  to kill the FATHER Swan.

A representative of USDA wildlife management says the NJ FISH AND WILDLIFE is still scheduled to euthanize the father Swan. Neighbors are pleading with the mayor of Brick to help obtain a permit to allow the family to be relocated. The town of Brick cannot stop this, it has to be the NJ Fish and Wildlife division- they need to issue the permit to relocate the Swan family. The USDA says the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife needs to issue that permit to relocate. There is a resident that has offered to pay for the relocation.

It has been reported that neighbors say the taunting and badgering of the swan family led to the aggression. People and boaters have taunted the Swans and fast boating makes them nervous and so they get aggressive to protect their babies (cygnet).

How can anyone believe it is right to kill a father protecting it's family. If they murder the male Swan- they leave the Swan family defenseless. Are they really ready to kill the whole family? Swans mate for life, selfish humans don't understand that killing the father Swan is destroying this family and future Swans.

These Swans need to be moved as a family, not killed. We are losing species and animals are going extinct due to human selfishness and the inhumane actions of some people, and this is another example. We need to protect what wild life we have left from people that attack nature.

Also, the human family that called the NJ government office to kill the Swan is stealing the enjoyment of all the other people in the area that love the Swans. No one person should be allowed to decide to kill this Swan. This is a community and if there are people in the neighborhood willing to pay for this relocation, then the government should listen and issue the permit. Relocation is better than killing, even though the community will be diminished by this loss.

PLEASE help with this fight to save the Swan family. Please call the numbers below- it will take a few minutes and give you opinion and ask them to give the Swan time - do not kill him - time to get the permit through to relocate the entire family of Swans. Please be calm and make the argument without getting as angry as I know you are, more important to accomplish the goal, but be persistent. Most government offices are tough to reach due to pandemic, but it is worth the effort.

Please get involved. Just because you come from another state, does not matter. They need to understand the country is watching and this killing is a stain on NJ.

Thank you for your time and efforts to show NJ that it is wrong to destroy and kill this Swan family. Please sign petition and call.
