Health is a common issue in our community. Some youths engage in different kinds of sexual activity, including pre-marital sex here in our City, which poses a high risk of acquiring STDs and early pregnancy. According to The Department of Health (DOH)-Calabarzon, there is a recently conducted "peer education training" about human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) for students in Cavite. The DOH-Calabarzon said they targeted students for the workshop because "more new HIV cases are being reported among youths between age 12 to 24 years old."

According to DOH-Calabarzon, a total of 9,926 HIV/AIDS cases have already been recorded in the region from 1984 to April 2019. "Provinces with the greatest number of cases is Cavite with 3,555. They said Bacoor City had registered the highest number of cases of HIV/AIDS in the Calabarzon Region with 726, followed by Dasmariñas City with 686, and Imus City with 616 cases, recorded from 1984 to April 2019.

Since sex is a primary means of contracting HIV, changes in sexual behavior can reduce risk. Condoms, used properly, are nearly 100% effective at preventing HIV transmission during sex; reducing one's sexual partners mathematically reduces the risk as well. Interventions aimed at increasing consistent condom use have successfully reduced the HIV transmission rate in the past. People can be infected with HIV through the transmission of bodily fluids, as in sexual intercourse with an infected individual, and the use of unclean needles. HIV can eventually lead to the development of AIDS, and if left untreated, it will usually lead to death within ten years.

There are now more options than ever before to reduce the risk of acquiring or transmitting HIV. Using medicines to treat HIV, using medicines to prevent HIV, using condoms, having only low-risk sex, only having partners with the same HIV status, and not having sex can all effectively reduce risk. Some options are more effective than others. Suppose we are combining prevention strategies that may be even more effective. But in order for any possibility to work, it must be used correctly and consistently. This petition aims to bring more sustainable development and promote community awareness regarding Health and Protection for Youth.
