Attention Bayonne residents, we NEED to do something and we NEED to do it NOW!  Whether you are a homeowner or a tenant, you are affected by the exuberant water bills we are paying here in our town.  Homeowners are charging higher rents to cover the costs they are being hit with and it is only going to go higher.  Last year I paid over $2000.00 for water, a basic necessity.  How is this OK!!!!! 

“In 2012, the IOU Suez, the private equity firm KKR, and the City of Bayonne signed a concession agreement. KKR provided 90 percent of the $150 million upfront payment to Bayonne. Suez put up the other 10 percent and agreed to run Bayonne's water and sewer systems for 40 years.”

Our water system was sold.  We, the residents who would be affected, had NO say in this deal!!!!!! It is time for US to speak up and have our Mayor and Council Members represent the people of Bayonne!!!! We still have over 30 more years of our bills continuing to rise at insane numbers. Why should we suffer for their poor decisions?
