Recently all parking was removed from Hennepin Ave in Uptown. This has affected many businesses in the area especially on Hennepin Avenue. Residents are also affected by this because parking has been pushed into their neighborhoods resulting in less off street parking.

We are proposing parking with meters on one side and a bike lane on the other to accommodate customer's access to businesses. This was once one of the most robust retail districts in the city of Minneapolis. The retail has failed and the city has acknowledged that it was a mistake to take away the parking. The city stated that the parking would be reinstated on one side of the street in the spring of 2021 but this has not happened and this Business corridor continues to suffer.

With parking the retail will prosper.
