Traffic on Arcadia Street and surrounding areas. Seems the stop signs in this area are geared more towards NE Mall area. As you travel on down the road there are no stop signs. Speeders i. This neighborhood is a major concern for us homeowners, especially ones with children. Personally there have been three wrecks in front of my house which sits on Crestview and Arcadia. One incident ended with a car up in my front yard missing my house by a few feet; Another one ended with an sun in my neighbors yard and a tree, with the other car racing towards where I was standing; the third wreck a child in the back seat of a car suffered minor injuries from his mom running the one and only stop sign on the corner. This needs to be a four way stop. There are other streets in this neighborhood who need this protection as well. These speeders and hot rods run over sprinkler heads and cause major damage to other peoples homes. Personally I’ve replaced a sprinkler head three times from people Turing the corner 90 to nothing and running over he curb. There are other stories from the neighbors as well. The City put up some type of monitor to gage the traffic and said it didn’t warrant enough traffic for a four way stop sign. There is another one there today. We are pleading with the City of Hurst to please invest some protection in our neighborhood.
