Dobbs Ferry Residents propose the Paul Golio III Pet Park

Dear Mayor Hartley Connett and members of the Board of Trustees,
With the construction at Rivertown Square virtually complete, we request that a portion of Chauncey Park be designed and dedicated as a dog park in memory of our dear friend and Dobbs Ferry resident, Paul Golio.
Paul Golio, a beloved and lifelong resident of Dobbs Ferry, was hit by a car on March 3, 2016 as he crossed Ashford Avenue to go to his job at the Dobbs Ferry Animal Hospital and died on March 10, 2016. Paul was a joyful, larger-than-life and colorful character who never met a person or dog he didn’t like. Every night, he could be seen walking his precious pups along Cedar and Main, engaging people (and their dogs) in conversation and laughs.
This park would be open to the public.
Thank you for your consideration.
