Miami pd must be held accountable for. Excessive policing, lying, abusing their power, negligence and their attempts to silence and break peaceful protests who stand up to them.

Miami spends too much $$$ on the police and these funds should be allocated to other social programs that will have a greater impact on raising the quality of life for Miami dade citizens (DOE, public libraries, career development programs etc)

Stop arresting peaceful protestors. It’s a waste of time and resources.

I’m signing because I’m tired of seeing no justice from our police. We don’t even have the right to exercise our amendments as Americans. We are supposed to be protected by our police and all they’re doing is arresting/harassing innocent people.

I’m signing because when I found out that the city allocates the police department around $265,621,000, while other funding like community development and housing gets allocated around $2,437,000, that’s enough to let me know we need to be allocating that money into the community, rather then militarizing our police force.

The resources dedicated to the police force, which have demonstrated gross over-reach of their power in order to harm and oppress the community they are “supposed to” serve, MUST be re-allocated to services that will actually serve the people of Miami - i.e schools, affordable housing, mental health and social services, transportation, climate change resiliency. Police do not reduce crime, RESOURCES reduce crime.
